His + Her Holiday Gift Guide

It's officially Christmas shopping season or close enough at least! November has gone by so quickly, I can't believe it will be December next week. Last year I was super proactive and bought people gifts all year long - this year I am way behind! I really enjoy finding people gifts and try to be creative but this year I am struggling! I know one thing I am going to be thankful for this season is Amazon Prime.

When I sat down to make my own Christmas list, I tried to give a good mix of useful items I need and things I want but wouldn't spend the money on for myself. Some how the majority ended up being items for the kitchen, winter must put me in a baking mood.

I also think following the something to wear, read, want and need is a good rule of thumb for both kids and adults. When someone asks me for a list I try to put one in each category to give them lots of options. And especially with the kiddos, I give each family a different list to avoid getting duplicate gifts.

Shopping for my husband is an adventure. I think part of the issue is I have a hard time thinking like a man. And the other issue is that I usually don't know what half the things on his list our. I don't know the difference in types of knives or if a pair of gloves would be good for working outside. I just think oh this looks pretty!

He usually does the shopping for the men in the family because otherwise they would all just end up with beer and gift cards. Beer and gift cards are always a safe bet but not very personal. Alas, I was able to create a gift guide of dude-approved items that Luke wants, is planning on gifting, or currently loving. And hey they don't look half bad.

Hope some of these ideas help make your shopping a little bit easier. You can find our family wish list from last year here. I'll be posting Landon's Christmas list soon. Happy shopping!
