25 Days of Christmas Activities

I love this time of year! There are so many fun things to do and traditions to carry on. My goal is to do one "Christmas Activity" a day but sometimes it just doesn't happen. I've listed 25 ideas below and would love to hear some of yours! 







1. Decorate the tree
2. Make a list for Santa
3. Read our favorite Christmas books
4. Make a stovetop holiday potpourri
5. Display fresh tree trimmings
6. Bake Christmas cookies
7. Send out cards and display the ones we receive
8. Wrap presents to place under the tree
9. Have a Christmas movie night
10. Participate in a secret santa/white elephant
11. Dance around to our favorite holiday tunes (Chipmunks!)
12. String cranberry and popcorn garlands
13. Visit santa - plus take classic kid crying photo
14. Go to a Christmas lights show
15. Make salt dough ornaments
16. Read the story of Jesus
17. Color homemade cards for grandparents
18. Donate food, toys, gifts or time to those in need
19. Make hot cocoa and watch the polar express
20. Make santa beards in the bath
21. Do random acts of kindness for strangers
22. Decorate a gingerbread house
23. Drive around looking at Christmas lights
24. Open pajamas on Christmas Eve
25. Eat a festive breakfast - reindeer pancakes with bacon antlers are on the menu this year


And a couple real life activities that are bound to happen…
-Slowly but surely eat every candy cane off the tree that you got for 'decoration'
-Pinterest cute elf on the shelf ideas and give up on them 3 days in
-Play keep the toddler from knocking down/touching the Christmas tree
-Rewind the mall Santa fight scene in Elf at least 3 times
-Threaten the good vs. naughty list everyday leading up to Christmas with your older kids
-Avoid grocery stores on the weekends for the entire month of December
-Clean flour out of your kids hair, ears, and nose after they dump half the bag on their head
-Rewrap gifts that a certain 1 year old gets ahold of 
-Amazon prime last minute gifts you forgot about
-Vacuum up pine needles every.single.day
