Despite the weather calling for a chance of rain Landon and I went to the beach with my mother-in-law and my husbands sisters. It stopped raining minutes before we got there and was the perfect beach day. Not too hot, not too windy, and partially overcast. The perfect beach day changes when you have kids and have to worry about overheating, sunburn, and big waves. Also I think a plain white onesie is my favorite baby outfit ever.
Lake Michigan is still freezing so we only put our toes in and that was more than enough for Landon. He really isn't a huge fan of water if it isn't in the bath tub or a sippy cup. He loved everything else about the beach though. Especially the seagulls.
I had a huge mom fail and didn't pack very well. I forgot his sippy cup in the car. All the snacks got covered in sand and I didn't bring any beach toys for him to play with. His favorite things to do at the beach included throwing sand, putting sticks in his mouth, and finding other peoples trash. And people watching.
