Newborn Favorites

I've got all things baby on the brain. Because we are having a second boy, the amount of things we need it pretty minimal. However, being the youngest of six and getting handy-me-downs my entire life, baby number two will be getting a few new things of his own. Below I've listed 10 items I'm really loving for Newborns.
one // two // three // four // five
six // seven // eight // nine // ten

Please note I did not title this newborn must haves, newborn essentials or anything else that sounds like you can't survive without it. This list is more of a personal favorites from my first go around and a few wish list items. I'll be doing a more specific baby number two round up on things we are planning on getting now that we will have two under two, like buying stock in pampers.

one - I think these milestone cards are the absolute cutest. You know me and taking pictures especially a collection like Landon's monthly photo or my weekly bump picture. These seem like a fun and different thing to do with the second babe.

two - Solly wraps were a fast favorite of mine from when I had Landon. This time around I'll have a newborn and a toddler to keep up with which means I'm definitely going to need two hands free at all times.

three - These heirloom blankets are so lovely. I love how old they look while being new. We also love swaddles from Aden and Anais and Little Unicorn. Both are made from cotton muslin which is the perfect material to keep babies warm without overheating. Not to mention how adorable the prints are - this vintage car one!

four - Pacifiers are kind of like bottles - there are so many kinds and your baby is sure to find a favorite and become partial to it. We (Landon and I) really liked the all rubber ones the most. For one I don't have to worry about a piece breaking off and Landon seemed to be able to keep it in his mouth easier. I will note Landon didn't use a pacifier past 4 months old so my experience is pretty minimal. These natursutten ones are a favorite.

five - Some say you don't need a baby brush/comb and others think its a must. I'm somewhere in the middle with its a really nice convenience to have. Especially if your little ones get cradle cap like mine. Their heads are so fragile I couldn't imagine using anything but the softest bristles.

six - The Honest Company's stain remover because breast milk spit up and poo stains. Enough said.

seven - I love a one-piece knit on a newborn. Ryder will be born in mid-late March, which in Michigan can mean just about anything for weather. But I would say its pretty safe to assume he will be able to wear sweaters and knits for the first month or two or three. I also really like the simplicity of this cap and cardigan for the early weeks.

eight - The Land of Nod takes activity mats to a whole new level. We love all Land of Nod products because they are really great quality and super cute. This shapes mat is adorable! The shapes are made with all different materials and textures.

nine - With Landon we used Avent bottles which worked just fine for us. However most of them aren't usable anymore. Despite storing them and thinking I would, looking at them now they are stained, scratched, and kind of nasty looking. I may try to branch out and try the life factory glass bottles. Anyone use glass bottles?

ten - You may remember we got my sister this moses basket a few months ago and I can't wait to borrow it! Can you think of a cuter place to put baby down for a nap?

And now to pull out some old newborn stuff way to early so that I don't buy all new for baby number two. Thank God I didn't have a girl.
