15 & 16 Weeks

Well that didn't take long to get behind on my weekly bump updates. As we have more kids (we want like 12) it will probably become monthly updates and eventually by the last kid, trimester updates. I did take a 15 week picture, although technically I was 15 weeks and 7 days. Close enough.

How far along : 16 weeks

Baby Size : Avocado

Weight gain : after losing some weight the first trimester I'm just about back to my pre-pregnancy weight.

Gender : The ultrasound and gender reveal party have been planned for Halloween eve.

Sleep : Starting to get a little bit of lower back pain but nothing too bad. My longing for a daily afternoon nap has returned.

Cravings : Just food in general. I'm starting to be hungry more often.

Symptoms : Stuffy nose and a few days of nausea in the morning.

Mood : Excited! I just cannot wait to see our babe at our ultrasound and of course find out if Landon will being have a brother or sister.

Verse of the week : Ecclesiastes 11:5 "As you do not know what is the way of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother's womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the maker of all things."

Best Moment of the week : Uncle Kale visiting & another good baby appointment

Looking forward to : Family pictures later today.

Random fact of the week : Luke is going out of town a few hours after our ultrasound and because we don't want to post-pone finding out until after he gets back, we decided to find out together at the doctors office before he leaves. But I don't need much of a reason to throw a party so I decided we would still do a gender reveal. Only this time it would be us me surprising everyone else. It sure beats a text to family and I really just can't turn down an excuse to plan (its a sickness). Knowing my families' competitive spirit, I've come up with a fun Halloween themed game for finding out. And because its my family, it will surely some how involve smack talk between teams, light political bashing, a few inappropriate jokes about a certain guy at the lake and maybe a little blood - you know typical Vliek family game night.
