DIY Easter Decor

As I mentioned in our mini house tour, we just moved. And because we are still in the process of decorating, my holiday decorating budget is pretty skimp or more like nonexistent.

It's a really good thing it isn't the holiday season because I would say screw regular decor and just buy Christmas stuff. But it's Spring, which doesn't have as many holidays that require specific decorating. Most of the time you can get away with some fresh flowers and call it good.

But I wanted at least a little something for Landon's first Easter. Which lead me to some cheap and easy DIY Easter decor on Pinterest. I've had my fair share of Pinterest fails (like this pumpkin picture) but thankfully both of these turned out just fine.

Jelly Bean Tree

Jelly Beans
Glue Gun

I followed these instructions and highly recommend using the hair dryer trick.

I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. Now I have at least a corner of Spring/Easter in my home.

Also have you seen the magic jelly beans and lollipop garden idea floating around Pinterest? Super cute tradition to start for Easter morning.
