Hello 2015!
Let me start by saying 2014 was more than I could have ever imagined. Being pregnant for the first time, my son being born, my first wedding anniversary, starting my final year of college, and a million other things that made it absolutely the best year ever. I don't know how 2015 can top it.
Are you a new years resolution maker? I love anything involving a list so of course I am. I also really enjoy reflecting on the past year and challenging myself to be even better. Last year my resolution was to be present in the moment. I have a tendency is plan plan plan and not live in the moment and I worked really hard on that this past year. This year I came up with one all encompassing resolution.
New Years Resolution: Create the life I want
How very vague of me, I know. A few nights ago while laying in bed and talking, my husband and I took turns closing our eyes and describing our dream bedroom. We of course both have very different vision but we also described a very different space than the one we currently have. Neither of us mentioned things completely out of the norm or unreachable. So why didn't we have a bedroom closer to the picture we described?
The room is just an example. So many times people (maybe its just me but Im guessing not) don't live the life they want. They picture the life they want as some unattainable thing in the future. I mean there is a multi-billion dollar company that capitalized on it - hello pinterest! I'm all for setting goals and dreaming for the future but you also have to take the steps to get there.
I found a little motivation in this book. Some of the practices are a little strange but the main concepts are good.
This year I'm going to create the life I imagine, picture, dream of, and want.
