Spring Organization: Family Planner

First things first - Congrats to Tonya G. on being the giveaway winner of the Thirty-One Little Carry-All Caddy! Thank you all who ordered. Thirty-One has been such a blessing for me to be able to work and make an income while in school and being pregnant. I truly appreciate all the business :)

-------

Week 3 of my organization saga is here and I created a family planner! View week one HERE and HERE and week two HERE.

I have no idea how my parents did it - both working full time jobs & raising six kids! I can hardly keep track of my husband and me. I'm a full time student & sell thirty-one. Luke has been working 50 hour weeks (with talk of going to 60). Add in doctor appoints (now every other week), errands, chores, grocery shopping, birthdays, family events, nursery planning, blogging.... my mind cannot be held responsible for all of that in its current condition i.e.pregnancy brain.

The family planner I've put together has helped me get everything in order. I got mine from the same place I got my budget system - A Bowl Full of Lemons (ABFOL). It is perfect for tracking everything I need and I can easily add in Landon related details in the future. My Family Planner is very in-depth and a little bit repetitive because that's how I roll. I like being organized, detailed & checking things off a list. I have three main sections including Months, Reusable & Busy.

Family Planner

Rainbow Planner
Binder

Monthly

(1 for each month of the year)
Monthly Avery Tabs

Looks just like a calendar - shocking! I literally write everything we have going on on this calendar. Appointments, pay days, bills due, family events, etc. This comes in handy when my mind goes blank and I can't remember if I was suppose to go the the doctors or dentist.

Weekly

The weekly is all mine. I don't track Luke's weekly to-dos, he's a grown boy. This repeats a little bit of the calendar but has a more detailed list. I write when I need to grocery shop, clean, have classes, meeting, etc. This is also where I plan out my blog posts - yes I have a plan even if doesn't seem like it :)

Reusable

This next section is what I call reusable. Rather than use a new sheet of paper every week, I decided I would get these laminated and use dry erase markers that I can wipe clean once done.

Grocery

Menu

Cleaning

I reuse the grocery list, menu plan, weekly cleaning and annual cleaning. This next one (pictured below) is in my reusable section but it isn't laminated. Sometimes I have a hard time remembering if I did a chore last month or two months ago. This is the place where I can write the date the of last time I did a specific chore and then I know when it needs to be done again. I don't put the weekly chores in here but everything from monthly chores to annual cleaning.

Busy

This section isn't used daily or even weekly. This is for those moments in life when I'm so busy I can't even make it through the day without a detailed schedule.

Detailed Daily Organizer

I use this for days when I'm apart of an event, there is a holidays, etc.
For example I am in a wedding in July & will be using this for a detailed breakdown of what needs to be done & when for the day.

Detailed Weekly Organizer

This is similar to the daily only it covers an entire week. I use this for an all around busy week or when my week isn't on a normal schedule. For example I might pull this out and use it when I go on vacation, have exam week or am throwing a garage sale.

Task List

When I use the task list - its for a specific purpose. For example I have a nursery task list. I have absolutely everything that needs to get done, be purchased, get fixed, etc. for the nursery before baby gets here.

That's all for my family planner. I swear this is the only thing keeping me from losing my mind now that I have full on pregnancy brain! Do you have a family planner? Just having a calendar with every ones stuff on it can give you a little piece of mind. I'll be back next week with my purse and wallet organization. Thanks for reading!
