Favorites Friday: Toys

All the moms reading this know that when you have kids, it comes with having a whole lot of toys. I already bought Landon his first toy, a go gaga elephant. It's pretty much like Sophie the giraffe but a fraction of the price and its an elephant which is kind of my thing. For the most part I like toys that are unique, classic and involve some creativity for the kids. I know I only get a few years before he will start wanting all the junk that lines the aisle of supermarkets so I have to keep it old fashioned while I can.

PlanToy - My First Camera: This camera is so stinking cute! When you look through the lens it acts as a kaleidoscope. Plantoys has a ton of awesome products but this is one of their newer items and has already received several awards. The box says 18+ month but I think you could get away with a 12 month old using it.

Begin Again - Penny Blocks: I'm a obsessed with wooden blocks - hence one of the options for the nursery theme. What I love about these is that they are made of sustainable harvested rubber wood and coated with child safe non-toxic stain. I love how classic and educational these are - they can be used to learn numbers, colors, grabbing & stacking.

Wee Gallery - 32 Ways to Dress a Pig: I love coloring, still to this day I enjoy a good color session. Of course I had to put a coloring book on here and the Wee Gallery provides a line of animal inspired coloring books that are really unique & cute.

Maileg - Winter Grey Mr. Wolfe: Every kid needs a favorite stuffed animal! Maileg is based in Denmark and their designer makes the cutest animals including badgers, monkeys, rabbits, and lots more. I'm obsessed with the look of theses toys - not cheap like so many out there today.

Alex - Finger Crayons: I mean come on! I wish these babies existed when I was a kid. The crayons are designed to fit right on top of your fingers, too cute. Bonus - they double as a stack able toy.

Soopsori - Wooden Vegetable Set: I'm a sucker for wooden toys of all kinds. This set is crafted from 8 different types of woods which I think is awesome (I get that from my dad). It includes a canvas bag to carry and store the pieces for your little chef. All 15 pieces have an all natural linseed oil finish and are non-toxic.
